This event has ended.

This body of work deals mainly with different aspects of Jewish life in Crown Heights, with an expressionism and imagination that show an insider view. Other prints and monotypes in the exhibition describe more universal subjects.

My biggest aim was always to stay as far as possible from the influence of others and develop my own style. For that reason, I refused to go to any art school in order to keep the very personal feelings and freshness I had within.

Esther Pam Zibell is a mostly self-taught artist. In August 2010 she was an artist-in-residence at the Artists en Herbes exhibition at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. She has shown her work in many shows, including a solo show at Brooklyn Public Library's Kings Highway Library, a group show with the Art Students League of New York Exhibition Outreach Program, a group show at the Rhonda Schaller Studio in Manhattan and two solo shows at the Chassidic Art Institute in Brooklyn. Her paintings are also featured in the 2007 movie Match and Marry by Suzannah Warlick and the 2007 book Coming Home by Miriam Jaskierowicz Arman.
