(Back Yard Projects presents the final exhibition of the 2011 season, VIS-A-VIS. Our summer series included the site-specific installations BED, BATH & BEYOND (Nathaniel de Large, Scott Keightley, & Juan Antonio Olivares), NEW AGE///\NEW LIFE (Morgan Silver-Greenberg) and performances by Andrea Merkx, Sarah Elliott, and BFFA3AE. In an effort to give a physical presence to the channels of communication opened through these experiences, each BYP collaborator invited several artists to exhibit in the space. The result is VIS-A-VIS, a conversation among eighteen artists touching on spatial intervention, ambiance, community, and the uncanny.
