This event has ended.

In a society that increasingly focuses on accessing and acquiring the newest information, it has become possible to communicate with a countless amount of people beyond space and time. However, is it really possible for technology to shorten the distance between human beings? Computers weren't widespread in Keith's lifetime, but, in 1978, Keith said "Eventually, the only worth of man will be to service and serve the computer. Are we controlling computers, or are we merely helping them to control us? As an artist aware of this situation, what should my position be?" Keith searched for his answer through his "dialogues." For this exhibit, in order to enable a "dialogue" between Keith and the viewing public, we have assigned
theme to each gallery, and have named them the "Thinking Room," the "Space of Premonition," and the "Room of Hope." The "Thinking Room" is a silent, dark space, where the viewer is confronted with chaos. 'Subway Drawings" and the "Blue Prints," the origin of Keith's artistic activity, are displayed in a way that confronts the viewer. Sit in the chair in the center and close your eyes. You might remember something important about yourself that you have forgotten. The "Space of Premonition" is a dimension in which the viewer literally gets a premonition of the future. We occasionally fall victim to illusions, being deceived by modern society. However, the pieces on view in this space, such as "The Fertility Piece" and a new acquisition "Day-Glo Painting" will make you feel as if there were a heartbeat of a new life echoing throughout this space. Finally, the "Room of Hope" reminds the viewer of a ray of sunlight at dawn, the feeling of being released from darkness. "Apocalypse" represents the uncertainty in our society, as well as the fear and confusion that we coexist with. There is an end to everything. However, at the end there is always a new beginning, and hope that connects to a new generation. Open your heart, and feel the cosmic.
