This event has ended.

On March 11, the earthquake and tsunami in Japan left thousands of young children without their parents and families. In the devastated areas where they remain, they live not only devoid of homes and schools but also with the fear of damaged nuclear power plants.

This exhibition consists of two parts: “Global Message Relay” is a collection of drawings and messages created by children in the affected areas. “The Day and After” showcases images captured by a photographer who inherited her father’s studio after losing him in the tsunami.

The Hug Japan project has been launched to support and to alleviate the pain of the children in Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima, and Ibaraki, through art and the use of their creativity.
