This event has ended.

The Westward Eye, curated by Beth McNeill, will open at the McNeill Art Group Tribeca Project Space on October 21st. The Westward Eye is an exhibition that looks into the current state of the Los Angeles contemporary art scene. Running concurrently with “Pacific Standard Time: Art in LA 1945-1980”, The Westward Eye explores how the culmination of this era has generated a thriving and prolific artistic community. Taking a glimpse into this fertile ground, The Westward Eye gives viewers a peek at artists who are continuing the legacy of the unique artistic vision of Los Angeles. Ranging in influences from Ed Ruscha’s hard-edged pop art to the minimalist work of Robert Irwin, viewers will see the diversity and depth of art being made now in Los Angeles.
