Robert Rauschenberg "Prints 1972-1979"
RH Gallery
This event has ended.
For Rauschenberg, printmaking was an art form at the core of his work both conceptually and visually. His oeuvre was constructed with a visual vocabulary culled from his environment that was at once intimate and urban, intellectual and quotidian. His elegant yet complex compositions define an American era and have been influential on a global scale. The selection of prints in this exhibition come from three of his most important series created between 1972 and 1979 titled Horsefeathers, Romances and Rookery Mounds.
