A biennial benefit exhibition & fundraising collaboration between A.I.R. Gallery & Women’s World Banking

A.I.R. Gallery announces the return of Generations. First started in 1997, this fundraising exhibition has since continued biennially. This year's fundraising partner is Women's World Banking, a New York-based non-profit that has a global impact.

Generations VIII articulates the wide range of artists, aesthetics and ideas that are a part of A.I.R. Gallery's rich history and exciting future. When A.I.R Gallery was founded forty years ago as an alternative gallery space based on feminism's collaborative tenets, it changed the male-dominated landscape of the art world. The collective spirit presented in this exhibition proves the success of A.I.R.'s original mission and structure. Generations VIII is a celebration of the continuity of this unique and significant gallery.

Also founded in the 1970s, Women's World Banking (WWB) is the only microfinance network focused explicitly on gender diversity. WWB addresses issues of global poverty and inequality through the economic empowerment of women and girls. By working with microfinance institutions and banks, WWB strives to provide financial products and services to women that meet their needs and better their lives; their vision is that one day all women will be able to build a secure financial future for themselves and their households.

15% of sales will be donated to WWB.
