Working with materials such as plaster, fabric, clementines, drywall and plumbing, this installation unfolds subtly into its environment and furtively walks the border between the decorative and the utilitarian. With a title borrowed from a short story of the same name by Lydia Davis, Cockroaches in Autumn similarly constructs a distinctive sense of place out of the relationship between obstinate and invasive components, rather than providing a concrete statement telling you exactly where you are.
