This event has ended.

Animal Vegetable Mineral references the infinitely changing natural world in large- and small-scale works on paper: inks, watercolors, oils, encaustics, and digital prints. Amidst the sequins, tulle, buttons, and beads in shops within the Garment District, in Animal Vegetable Mineral, a work-in-progress, more than one hundred hand-constructed drawings interact with digitally scanned images within the large-windowed storefront space, splitting, disintegrating, reworking, always eluding visual coalescence. ANIMAL VEGETABLE MINERAL plays with the irrevocably open-ended and the interrelationships between disparate works on paper to limn an animated drawn space.

Animal Vegetable Mineral is funded in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
