This event has ended.

"El Museo's Bienal: The (S) Files" highlights the most innovative, cutting-edge art being produced by emerging Latino and Latin American artists currently working in the greater New York area. The artists are literally "selected from the files"—culled from unsolicited submissions to El Museo over the previous year. With "The (S) Files," El Museo aims to expand the definition of contemporary Latino and Latin American art by exposing the public to a broad and exciting sampling of new work by young Latino artists. "The (S) Files" reflects El Museo's commitment to foregrounding current art production as well as enriching our own artists' archives, a vital national resource for research and scholarship. By turning an exciting spotlight on exceptional rising talents, "El Museo's Bienal: The (S) Files" has proven to be both a popular and critical success.
