This event has ended.

Gallery at New World Stages announces the opening of Red & Blue x,y,z, an exhibition of 30 original artworks by Bernard Stote, including works on paper and sculpture.

“The symbols represented in these pieces are the alphabet and numbers deconstructed by creating a series of mathematical rules based on the Cartesian coordinate system, said Stote. "The work explores space in plan, section, and elevation based on these new signs," continued Stote. I chose the primary colors of red and blue to use the vibration of color to evoke space,“ concluded Stote. Bernard Stote studied architecture at Temple University and computer science at Columbia University. He works primarily in mixed media, watercolor, and gouache, and in his pieces he seeks to evoke a sense of constant movement while conveying both spiritual and spatial themes. His artwork has been shown at venues in New York, Miami and Pennsylvania. Stote was commissioned to create a large-scale sculpture recently exhibited at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC., as part of "The Presidency of John F. Kennedy: A 50th Anniversary Celebration." Bernard paints at his studios in New York City and Sagaponack, Long Island.
