This event has ended.

ISE Cultural Foundation presents “MOMENT” a group exhibition by kinetic artists, Arthur Ganson, Theo Jansen, Daniel Wapner and Daniel Wurtzel.

Most of kinetic sculpture today was conceived in the industrial age. It is based on the idea of constructing work, that abandons the function of services science brings to humanity - and the servitude it demands from men, women and children now as it has in the past. Since Marcel Duchamp presented his "Bicycle Wheel" in 1913, sculptors have created forms in motions, light and sounds, that have accentuated the dimension of time and placed our awareness in the significance of the moment. The artists in this exhibition use hand-cranks, motors, and fans to rotate gears and move parts in various speeds to animate formations and to explore the relationships between nature, science and human experience. These works signify a remarkable moment, the phenomenon of mechanical motion and its intangible implications, through matter, space and time.
