This event has ended.

Drawings: Maria Gracia y Navit Yolainne marks the first time artist Homer Yost has exclusively exhibited his drawings. Ordinarily he exhibits his sculptures with the occasional drawing included in the show. He says that when Causey Contemporary director, Tracy Causey-Jeffery first asked him to do a drawing exhibition, he felt like he had been asked to take a long vacation on a remote island and do nothing but snorkeling. His drawings come from a highly collaborative process of working with models in this case Maria-Gracia Pendreanez and Navit Yolainne Mean. The drawings included in the exhibition are the direct result of imagery created through movement, silence and sometimes dialogue. Homer has been drawing and sculpting for thirty years. In 1993 he was one of the sculptors who restored the Freedom Statue on the Capital Building in D.C. In 2006, he documented in bas relief the destruction and survivors post hurricane Katrina in Biloxi Mississippi. Homer’s sculptures and drawings have appeared in solo and group exhibitions throughout the USA, England and Italy.
