A photographic essay by Anthony Bonair chronicles Carnival in Brooklyn from 1974 to 1994 showcasing examples of costumes and Carnival music alongside Mr. Bonair’s images. Each photo investigates the intricacies of the brightly colored and beaded costumes of Mas-making traditions on view at Brooklyn’s annual West Indian Day Parade.
