"Shopping for Life" is a performance piece driven by Conscious Consumerism, a social movement based around increased awareness of the impact of purchasing decisions on the environment and the consumers health and life in general. Skovby will use her body and a shopping cart to explore the relationship between societies wish to make ethical purchases as an expression of their moral choices, and their capitalist inclined desire to consume to excess, in the pursuit of happiness.
