This event has ended.

'These sculptures are monuments to the people I love and the joy and confusion I feel in being alive, but they are not about things, they are things! They don't exist as a reference, representation or metaphor, but as themselves. Sculpture can act as a porthole to another dimension and all the while it is in our space, real as a table or a tree'. SB 2010

Museum 52 New York presents Sarah Braman's second solo exhibition with the gallery. Braman embraces sculpture. It is a platform upon which she wants to speak, and a medium she approaches with both seriousness and wanton emotion. The result is work that is filled with personal desires, a love of materials, color and form, and a strong awareness of the thrill experienced when in the company of sculpture.

Sarah Braman has exhibited at Canada, NY, Dicksmith Gallery, London, Zach Feuer, NY, Andrea Rosen, NY, Counter Gallery, London and the ICA, Philadelphia. She was included in Greater New York at PS1/MoMA in 2005. She has received notable attention in many publications including Artforum, Flash Art and Art in America. Braman will have a major solo show at Le Confort Moderne, a large institutional space outside of Paris, in September 2010.
