Most of the pieces in the show are "New Color from Old Blocks". The blocks are printed in black and white and collaged or printed in colored inks on hand tinted rice papers. The series "Florida Garden" includes the drawing, block, black and white print, and it's collaged version. This series uses all hand-tinted papers. The artist uses found and bought papers: patterned origami papers, samples of colored rice papers, embellished rice papers, metallic papers, etc. In the Gardens woodcuts one sees tropical foliage from Florida and Los Angeles, and waterlilies which are a favorite subject of the artist.
