Aurora Robson makes sculptures, installations, collages and paintings, often incorporating discarded materials. All the forms in her work are loosely based on childhood nightmares. Her aim is to subjugate the negative aspects of these nightmares, by transforming them into populated, living, breathing arenas for discourse. Additionally, her use of discarded materials like plastic bottles, junk mail, excess packaging and most recently plastic bags, provides her with another opportunity to practice shifting the trajectory of not only meaning, but material.
