"Jamaica Flux: Workspaces and Windows 2010 – Art as Action" Exhibition

JCAL’s site-specific, public art exhibition, Jamaica Flux: Workspaces & Windows 2010 uses the urban environment as a studio and exhibition space. It includes the commission, creation, and exhibition of site-specific projects, which are installed at a variety of locations along Jamaica Avenue, in Queens. This year’s theme is “Art as Action.” Video Slam, a new component, will feature videos related to the theme and coincide with the exhibition’s opening on April 10.
Saturday, April 10, 2010 - Schedule of Events:
Opening Remarks: 10:00 am
Guided Tour: 11:30 am – 12:30 pm
Artist Talks: 2:00 pm – 5:30 pm
Performance Art: various times through out the day
Video Slam: 11:30 am – 9:00 pm
Opening Reception: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
