"Cocktails and Dreams" Exhibition
The Laundromat
This event has ended.
This will be the last show in The Laundromat’s current location before we move to a new space on Wyckoff Avenue. The show will feature a number of Laundromat alumni, while also introducing artists whose work we will show in the coming year.
Cocktails and Dreams invites artists to draw inspiration from the art world to create an affordable, consumable, conceptual art experience in the form of a mixed drink. For example, Rebecca Litt's homage to Damien Hirst, The Physical Impossibility of Hangovers in the Mind of Someone Drinking, features a (toy) shark suspended in a small vitrine of whiskey and soda.
The artwork on display will be priced at or below $100 to encourage new collectors and to help raise funds for the upcoming exhibition season at the Laundromat.
