The 1x1 Line is an artistic collaborative series of art and furniture. Uhuru invites artists to create works of art and then team up with our designers to create a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture. From painting to street art to photography, the artists have a wide array of talents. Each produces a unique collaboration.
Distinct from anything previously created by Uhuru, the 1x1 Line is a modern expression of conceptual craft. By opening up a dialogue between designers and artists, the line ultimately produces a merging of viewpoints to challenge conceptions between fine art and furniture.
