T MINUS 20 is a multi-media exhibit on two levels in a renovated church. The 1st level is a presentation of artist T-shirts, with unique designs by an exciting and eclectic line-up of 20 different artists utilizing T-shirts as their blank canvases, or who have based a concept around a T-shirt.The 2nd level is an installation of innovative video art. This event is organized by IGNIE - founded by Jason LeBlond and Ves Pitts. The exhibition is coordinated with the generous support of Christopher Henry Gallery, NYC.
Additionally to my crocheted T-shirts you can find in this show Seis Mil Antenas part IX, a collaborative project with Montreal interdisciplinary artist Johnny Ranger.This piece was created during our residency at the Sacatar Institute in Itaparica, Brazil. SEIS MIL ANTENAS is an exploration in improvised movements and performances with a group of Brazilian dancers around Salvador, Bahia. The work approaches themes that have deep resonance in Brazilian culture with African origin but remains very discreet in occidental societies.
