poster for Jennifer Andrews Exhibition

This event has ended.

Jennifer Andrews was born in Buffalo, NY and studied painting at Hartford Art School in CT. Her work has been shown in numerous group and solo exhibitions across the US and internationally. In addition to painting, Andrews works as part of the collaborative team Andrews LeFevre Studios (www.andrewslefevre.com) creating site-specific public art for communities and institutions.

Andrews is one of 40 international artists to participate in Jamaica FLUX ’10, a public art exhibition using the urban environment as a studio. Select paintings will be featured in the upcoming movie “Every Day” starring Liev Shriver and Helen Hunt and her painting White Well will appear in the May 2010 issue of juried art magazine “Studio Visit”.

Andrews’ recent paintings and drawings explore a range of themes and examine the concept of ORIGIN and its cultural, familial and biological importance. Working in thin layers of oil paint and beeswax, her narrative artworks investigate the structure of memory, myth and our connection to the natural world. See current artwork at www.andrewsjennifer.com.
