This event has ended.

"New Editions" represents the broad spectrum of artists and print making techniques that have been realized at Pace Editions and Pace Paper. Pace Prints has been setting the standard for fine art prints since 1968. One of the first projects realized in our new Pace Paper studio in Brooklyn is Donald Baechler’s "Abstract Composition with Skull" (2009). Building on his body of handmade paper editions, the skull image on a field of colored blocks is emblematic. This print marks the 20th year of collaboration between Pace prints and Donald Baechler. Ghada Amer and Reza Farkhondeh recently began their collaboration with Pace Prints by creating a series of monoprints culminating in a show called "Roses Off Limits" in April of 2009. This is the first edition that came from this collaboration. The etching emerges from the textured and colorful relief print beneath. Ingrid Calame’s series of three "Tracings from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway" were conceived as part of a project that has been widely exhibited. Calame’s etchings follow a similar process to her paintings and drawings. With her collaborators, she traces stains on roadways and sidewalks, then layers them to create a complex image. Tara Donovan has gained international recognition for using non-art materials to create systematic arrangements in her sculpture and drawing. In Tara Donovan’s third collaboration with Pace Editions, she has carried this concept into the print medium. A surface of raised pin heads were inked to create relief prints. This process lightly embossed the sheet, giving it a texture reminiscent of her sculptural work. Qin Feng’s expressive compositions serve as meditations on time and motion. His bold brushstrokes lyrically combine the gestural impulses of action painting with the tradition of Chinese calligraphy painting. This screenprint is part of an ongoing collaboration that has included screenprints, etchings and monoprints.
