Y Gallery is pleased to present a 4 part performance series built around the theme of domesticity. Life in the everyday environment of the home has been channeled through the individual practices of artists Brina Thurston, Ryan Brown, Bryan Zanisnik and Jano Cortijo who will perform for the public at Y Gallery. Each artist will change the gallery space during one day and will perform from 7 pm.
Curator Cecilia Jurado focuses on little details of domestic activities that speak loudly about our most secret desires and perturbations but also about simple things that are fundamental for us. Home is a private space and is the container of moments where most of us feel liberated, a good place to look closely in order to understand our society.
