"Winners of Soho Photo’s 15th Annual National Photography Competition" Exhibition

Soho Photo Gallery is pleased to announce that its July exhibition will feature the top three
winners of the gallery’s 15th annual juried National Photography Competition. The
show’s distinguished juror, Jennifer Blessing, Curator of Photography at The Solomon R.
Guggenheim Museum, selected these photographs, as well as 32 other images, to be in this
year’s exhibition. In previous years, this competition has drawn entries from all over the
United States and 2010 was no exception. There were a total of 2,250 photographs from
more than 340 photographers, located from Massachusetts to California.
The top three National Competition winners are:
First Place: Martha Fleming-Ives, Brooklyn, NY, “After the Fight”
Second Place: Katharyn Addcox, Memphis, TN, “Morning Egg Check”
Third Place: Ilisa Katz Rissman, Brooklyn, NY, “Agnes Wears Horns”

Special Members’ Summer Exhibition
In celebration of summer, there will also be a special members’ show with the theme,
Water—The Liquid of Life. Gallery members will be free to exercise their
creativity in interpreting this theme so the results should prove to be a picture of
diversity, to say the least.
