Briggs and Boardman were part of the New York School Artists. We will be presenting three decades of work of these artists who shared a common ideal but approached art in diverse ways, avoiding stylistic classifications.
Each developed a format in which to explore ideas that had a personal subtext. They were rugged individualists who faced life and canvas on their own terms.
There is no irresolution or gimmicks in these paintings – that are often found in most contemporary art of today.
