This event has ended.

Kelley's lush, realistic oil paintings of classic American cars offers a woman's perspective on 'muscle cars' and other archetypal vehicles traditionally collected by men. Kelley explores her subjects from the standpoint of industrial design, focusing on the reflections in the polished chrome and steel that illuminate not only the vehicles themselves, but the fast paced spirit of mid 20th century America.

Kelley's love for cars is arguably innate as she grew up a tomboy in suburban Texas. Her collection of Hot Wheels toy cars and later, her affection for her '72 Chevy Nova on which she learned to drive, harvested in her an undying interest in the classic automobiles she has been painting for the past six years in her unique, tightly rendered style.
