The Phoenix Gallery presents Laura Westby’S first Solo Exhibition “Tears of the Sun”
To look at light, there is the energy of color in wave and the inertia of mass in particle. But in the shadow, there is the quiet of time and distance. The structure is never the same; it is constant at one given moment, working congruently with infinite vectors of wave and inertia.
These paintings are a poetic statement of light in color and in the inertia of volume. They are meant to give an experience of color at a given moment over an area of time.
