The Phatory presents I Level an exhibition of selected works from the gallery’s collection.
In considering the many ways one can appreciate art, I often feel a tug of war between my wanting to experience a piece without preconception and translating my reactions into interpretations that reinforce my sense of self as artist, gallerist and collector. What is it about interpreting art that suddenly makes us aware of our inner selves in terms of our outward identities? By presenting works that I have made, along with works by artists who show at The Phatory and works from my collection, I attempt to call these observable selves into ambassadorial service.
