Okada graduated from B-semi Learning System of Contemporary Art in 2003.
She grew up in Kashiwara city where the south side of Osaka, Japan. The memory of nature near her hometown (such as Mt. Ikoma and Yamato River) relates to herself.
In order to make artwork, Okada usually memorizes strange sceneries and situations in landscapes. Then, these memories develop in her inside as things like "lump" and "whirlpool" and "ditch". Okada names them then makes stories as they develope. And then she creates a space of fable with unique humor by various methods such as a picture or words.
In this exhibition, Okada is going to think about trees, wander around trees and picture it as an artwork to make a forest.
