This event has ended.

“You are cordially invited to Restoring Haitian Pride through Art, an artistic event showcasing Haitian art in the American community. Before and after the unfortunate earthquake tragedy on January 12, 2010, the people of Haiti have fostered a rich artistic community, both at home and abroad. Join us in celebrating that community, and the fantastic work it has fostered.

Haiti is a country that has faced many adversities, and continues to do so. Despite its challenges, Haiti still serves as a touchstone of Caribbean culture as the first Black Democratic Nation. As Haitian Americans, we believe we must restore, cultivate, and educate people about the Haitian culture, and we do so through art.

Haitian artists have a unique story to tell. This event is an exploration of those stories, bound to inspire art lovers and those who have a cultural interest in the Caribbean islands.

We hope you can take the time out of your busy schedule to help us celebrate this cultural spirit.”
