This event has ended.

Alison Armstrong will present paintings and ink drawings which reflect her long standing interest in Zen as well as the direct influence of the Japanese landscape ink paintings of Sesshu, Sotatsu and Ogata Korin. Her imagery often responds to the similarities between ancient standing stones in Ireland, England and Wales and the wooden gates and stone water basins of ancient Japanese shrines. Her work is held in private collections in Nova Scotia, Indiana, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania and New York. She is a member of the Japanese Artist Association of NYC. Her essays on art and literature have appeared in various publications including the Irish Literary Supplement and American Arts Quarterly. She currently teaches for the Humanities Department at School for Visual Arts.

Ken Wade will be presenting new pieces of sculpture as well as works on paper. Wade began working in geometric abstraction in the mid 1960's and was one of the four selected artists to participage in the Cocoran Gallery of Arts exhibition in 1968. He is represented in private collections in Melbourne, London, Washington DC, and New York. He has exhibited in NYC at Westbeth Gallery, Julian Pretto, Willard Gallery, OK Harris and Artist Space.
