This event has ended.

Yu Kobayashi was born in Yokahama, Japan at 1987. When he was a kid, he dreamed of becoming a professional soccer player and spend 15 years chasing that dream but it never came true. After graduating University, his target changed and was focused towards the fashion industry. It was for a simple reason, he liked clothes. What inspired him was the desire to bring the Japanese culture and beauty to other countries. It was actually a foreigner who was wearing Kimono. As you know, Kimono is traditional Japanese garment. But when seeing a foreigner wearing a Kimono, It looked very different for him. Yu found coolness and beauty from that. There was no more reason to stay at his current job so he quit his regular job and decided to return to school to learn about fashion. When he was in his second year he had his own exhibition. At the exhibition, he met “Heizo” who is a Chinese character writing artist. Since there meeting they have been working together to inspire each other and to bring art and fashion together. Yu is still in “Cultural Fashion InstituteⅡ”. He is trying to express “Japanese beauty” by cloth.
