This event has ended.

Easy Street Gallery presents Industrial Evolution, the contemporary work of its most proficient sculptor and resident artist, Zach Puchowitz. His observations and reactions to the world lend depth to his raw aesthetic. Puchowitz’s intention is to portray an honest depiction of what exists rather than sugarcoating a view of the world. “I believe, as an artist, its my responsibility to mimic
life and the times we live in, and record my perspective of it in a raw, unfiltered way,” says Puchowitz. “My art is a social commentary.”

Puchowtiz posseses an uncanny ability to share his worldview through robust sculptures. “People love Zach’s detail. Because of his skill, he has cultivated a strong following in the art world with both young and older art enthusiasts,” says Easy Street Owner Ian Kerr. Patrons to this exhibit should expect to see Puchowitz’s reflection of the current landscape in its most brutally honest form.

After graduating from Tyler School of Art, Puchowitz developed an understanding for glass as a material, mastering both the torch and furnace. He spent a year in Burlington, VT as a resident artist in Alan Goldfarb’s studio. Currently, Puchowitz lives and works in the Port Richmond section of North Philadelphia surrounded by ex-factory workers and post-industrial revolution debris.
