The salon style group of lush paintings portrays famous leaders from world politics, history, religion, music, writing, and art (along with icons from fiction, film, and comics). These icons are juxtaposed with paintings of cherished animals that are currently endangered. With this grouping, Mayerson proposes the argument that we need more “good leaders” to help humanity and save our planet, as they are like the endangered species surrounding them.
