This event has ended.

Waiting for spring, perhaps this spring in particular, set our minds to try something new. In an effort to step forward with old friends, make new starts, introductions, and knit new beginnings, we invited some artists to our gallery that we felt inspired to see. This is the first of a series of invitationals: a dressed up word for a phone call whose business begins with, "What do you think if we..." The direction steers toward the obvious: the works are beautiful. It is our pleasure to share these artists' works with you.

Daniel Brice is an artist that we've worked with since 2001. He is considering a break from his long play with line and plane. These works represent a swan song to the conversation and perhaps a peek around the corner.

Tyrell Collins steps from her familiar copper hued landscapes on aluminum to wriggle Cyrillic. With familiar substrate and related color she layers calligraphic strokes into a play of depth and line.

Our return to Dan Gualdoni's exquisite, if stark landscapes, shadows and subtle saturations, take us to the visceral experience of looking at art. Drawing from his studies in painting and printmaking, Gualdoni layers haunting imagery with rich texture. Jpegs do not do these justice.

This is the first time we've shown Marilla Palmer's works on paper. Her watercolor twigs tributary to holograms and macromay. The pieces reflect curiosity, and a sense of humor. They are in the spirit of Nature's game of "what if?" They are Spring's daydreams, rough drafts, rabbit trails, and wonder.
