Manuel Esnoz's new body of work begins with the process of constructing canvas and manipulating surface, then, made evident is the seduction and drama of the imagery. Conceived and executed in Bologna, Italy, he was inspired by his renaissance surroundings. The evolution of each piece helps to determine the image. Esnoz masks familiar forms beyond recognition but has gone further then pervious work where he obscured the context of the image. In the work, which consists of collage, frottage and tapestry, Images are striped down to their simplest form and hidden in abstract compositions.
