This event has ended.

Since 1978, the Visual Artist-In-Residence (AIR) Workspace Program has provided six artists with 11 months of studio space on the second floor of the Abrons Arts Center. Among the artists selected for the program are painters, printmakers, photographers, sculptors, and video and installation artists. The residency offers professional development opportunities, including studio visits with visiting artists, critics, and curators. AIRspace 2010 highlights the work and work-in-progress of the 2009-2010 artists-in-residence. An exhibition of work by these emerging artists will be installed in the Abrons Main Gallery. During the first weekend of AIRspace 2010 (May 22 and 23), the second-floor studios will be open to the public for viewing and discussion with the artists.
