Ever want to build a floating hot-tub full of milk and, pirate style, have it attack the Goodyear Blimp during the Superbowl? What about airlifting entire city blocks of Chelsea and depositing them along the Arctic Circle? Or a moon-sized drawing of the earth placed over the moon? Or would you perhaps prefer to dismantle the entire city brick by brick over the course of a thousand? Or maybe you've just always wanted to make a painting with molten gold, but could never quite afford it.
NURTUREart is pleased to present Unrealized: Conceptual Bushwick, a show about ideas presented by members of the Bushwick arts community as part of the 2010 Bushwick Open Studios. Conceptual Bushwick offers the arts community a chance to describe their most fantastic artistic projects, leaving aside terrestrial concerns for money, time, ethics, or the laws of physics. For three days during the BOS events, NURTUREart will be taking a look at ideas in raw form, because sometimes ideas are more intriguing before they are bogged down by logistics. We will be displaying all of the proposals that we receive, from radically fantastical to just not yet realized.
