"Growing a Collection: Recent Art Acquisitions" will feature selected works of art that have come into the permanent collection since 2004. Approximately 45 objects will be put on display; these include paintings, sculpture, drawings, prints, fine art photography and decorative arts, from antiques to contemporary works. The exhibition will describe for museum-goers the various means by which a museum builds its collections, and will celebrate the artists and donors who make the process possible, many of whom are members of the local Staten Island community.
