This event has ended.

The exhibition Sargent and Impressionism features some 30 outstanding oils and watercolors painted by John Singer Sargent in France and England from 1883-1889. On loan from the world’s leading public and private collections, the works on view reflect a period when the artist was experimenting en plein air, exploring Impressionist techniques, painting and corresponding with Claude Monet.

Highlights include two studies for the great Carnation, Lily, Lily Rose (at the Tate) and many works that have never been on public display before. Sargent and Impressionism is the fourth loan exhibition exclusively devoted to the work of John Singer Sargent organized by Adelson Galleries.
