This event has ended.

The Brooklyn Brothers Gallery opens April 15 with an original exhibition of over 40 artworks by New York-based artists TrustoCorp. This is the first exhibit for The Brooklyn Brothers Gallery, and marks the opening of their permanent gallery exhibit space located at 18 East 17th Street, 7th floor. The TrustoCorp exhibit will run through May 2, and will be available for viewing by appointment.

TrustoCorp is a New York based artist (or artists) dedicated to highlighting the hypocrisy and hilarity of human behavior through sarcasm and satire. TrustoCorp targets areas in the public domain typically reserved for messages of trust and authority and abuses them with visual messages of mayhem and absurdity hijacked from the visual style of our authorities.

In keeping with the city street, public domain origins of the TrustoCorp artwork and subjects, the opening night will be held as a Carnival style event, with live, action based spectacle, hilarity and mayhem. The featured works -- which thus far have been exclusive to city streets across the USA -- will prove to have just as much sensational mischief and chaos as TrustoCorp's street work. TrustoCorp will be taking over the Brooklyn Brothers Gallery with over 40 works ranging from dominating billboards and street signs to faux products and posters. Also featured is an interactive, carnival style shooting gallery (complete with AK-47 pellet guns), installations and a very special solid gold sculpture. A live DJ will be spinning to add to the fun.
