This event has ended.

The “hadal zone” comprises the deepest parts of the ocean floor: a lightless and harsh terrain far from our immediate existence. To me, this environment serves as a fitting metaphor for the place in my mind where memory intermingles with a kind of personal mythology. It is explored through images that seem to have appeared before me, flashing through primordial darkness. They have a history, but that history is malleable and up for interpretation by others. This show is a collection of images culled from a continuous adventure in the dark.

The paintings in this exhibition are only a small part of a larger journey Mr. DiLorenzo is currently embarking upon as an artist. They run the gamut from recounting specific locations where he grew up, things witnessed on television, to various nightmares and irrational ideas he had concerning reality while coming of age.
