"40th Anniversary" Exhibition
Pace Prints Gallery
This event has ended.
Pace Prints is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary as a print publisher and print dealer with exhibitions at both the uptown Pace Prints Gallery at 32 East 57th Street and the Pace Prints Chelsea Gallery at 521 West 26th Street. Pace Editions, the publishing division of Pace Prints, began 40 years ago with print editions by Sven Lukin, Lucas Samaras, Ernest Trova, and Jack Youngerman. Soon after, editions by Jean Dubuffet and Louise Nevelson were also published. Chuck Close and Jim Dine joined The Pace Gallery artist roster in 1975, and Pace Editions has continually published their prints for the past 34 years. Initially conceived as an opportunity and facility for artists represented by The Pace Gallery, now Pace Wildenstein, to create graphic editions, Pace Editions developed into an inclusive publishing program that encompasses many artists whose unique works are often represented by other galleries. Over the past 40 years, Pace Editions has published the work of 123 different artists.
