"Twin Infinities" Exhibition

TWIN INFINITIES (a title riff and mutation of Twin Infinitives, the galvanizing double album released in 1990 by Royal Trux) is an experiment in the curatorial process. Each of the six current artists were given open access to our archive of alumni residents and asked to select one artist whose work they felt a strong affinity towards. The two artists then discussed current projects and experiences gained through the Residency Program. Ultimately a dialogue was set up between the pair with the goal of shared experience and the potential for collaboration. Some of the artists have decided to collaborate on new works, while others are comfortable presenting separate projects. Twin Infinities, then, alludes to the vast inner worlds that each artist is exploring through their own respective practices as well as to the duality of the entire exhibit in terms of how it overlaps past with the present.
