This event has ended.

“Night metal – Metal de noche” features scenography designed by the Spanish artist, Miguel Galanda. Last July 16th, the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid ended the 2008-2009 Season with a final concert which featured Ode to Napoleon, composed by Arnold Schonberg in 1942, and Four serious songs, by Brahms. For this event, the artist Miguel Galanda designed a whole set up of 22 large-scale figures about an updated version of the Ode’s characters.  All of them and some other works will be shown now at The Gabarron Foundation in the exhibition “Night metal-Metal de noche” organized by our institution and Circulo de Bellas Artes, who has edited a catalogue as well. In "Night Metal" most of the works represent human figures, a sort of shadows between sculptures and paintings which seem to come out from the dark, as ghosts wandering about in a fog bank or the desert. The other pieces show us landscapes and portraits. All the works are supported by a steel mesh and made by pigments, wax and oil painting.
