A Collection of Portraits by Japanese Children from 1960.
In May 1960, the fourth “My Mother” Society for Praise of Mothers,
International Children’s Drawing Exhibition took place in Shiba-Tamachi
Minatoku, Tokyo, Japan. This collection of portraits provides a window into the life and maternal relationships of Japanese children at that time. It stands not only as a tribute to the mothers of these children but mothers everywhere and all they do.
