This event has ended.

"In the Street: A Humanist Landscape" is an ongoing project by Robert Virga that attempts to convey not only the visual richness of life on the street, but its mystery, ambiguity and multiple meanings. Virga says, "While these ordinary photographs can be seen as no more than a document of contemporary life, one hopes that their power lies in their ability to capturea pause; a moment when something changes into something else. A pause waiting to be completed in the mind of the viewer."

John Custodio's newest solo exhibition is entitled A California Portfolio-a collection of photographs he's made over the years while traveling through California. Custodio's show of 13 black and white and color images features landscapes, many with man-made elements, that highlight the state's natural beauty.

In L'arestop, the first exhibition at Soho Photo for Jean-Yves Hamel, the artist demonstrates links that exist between our environment, poverty, industrialization, and liberty. Using darkroom photomontage techniques, Hamel's prints strike the eye and help us see how images combined on photographic paper coexist in the physical world and are in fact interdependent. The series is made of photographs from North America and Asia and has been exhibited in galleries in Montreal and Amsterdam.

David Murcko's first solo show is entitled Ancient Thailand. Murcko says, "I lived in Thailand for 7 years and was surrounded by some of the world's most beautiful Buddhistart and architecture. I wanted to visually express my respect and love for the Thai people for sharing their culture with me. For this series, I produced 12 hand-made Cyanotypes whose blue color connotes serenity, purity, happiness and mystery - and complements the personality of Thailand and Buddhism."
