"09 Oh Cow!" will be shown together with artworks from our group of invited Artists - Felix Beyreuther, Elizabeth Kursch, Lin Shih Pao, Quan Handong, Xu Deming, and Andy Warhol to complete the richness and juxtapose the depiction of this humble beast. The selected works in this show cut across different genres of art in a variety of media ranging from oil painting, photography, video, mixed media, to glass sculpture.
"09 Oh Cow!" will be on view from July 18, 2009 to Sept 18, 2009 in our new space on the ground level of Queens Crossing, Flushing, NY. This exhibition is part of Crossing Art's year long festivities of the Lunar Year of the Cow and is accompanied by a catalogue with an essay by Koan Jeff Baysa.
Crossing Art would also like to extend a special thanks to the "09 Oh Cow!" panel of judges that included Koan Jeff Basya, international independent curator, Larissa Harris, Curator, Queens Museum of Art, Catherine Lee, Director, Crossing Art, Chee Wang Ng, Gallery Manager, Crossing Art, & Jennifer Junkermeier, Assistant Director, Crossing Art for so diligently selecting this group of Artists in celebrating the Cow.
